About Karla Brink

Karla Brink is an online fine art and sculpture business trading as Karla Brink. The business is not VAT registered. These terms apply to this website and purchases made through it.

Artwork and availability

Please read the individual artwork description, medium, dimensions and availability before ordering. Photographs help you view the work, but screen settings and lighting can affect the appearance of colour and texture. This does not limit your rights if an item is materially different from its description or defective.

Some artworks are unique and availability can change. If an ordered item is unavailable or a material listing error is discovered, we will contact you to resolve the order. We will not substitute artwork or change an agreed price without your agreement. Any payment for an item we cannot supply will be refunded.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in South African rand (ZAR). No VAT is charged. Payment options available for your order are shown at checkout. Please review your items, quantities and total before submitting your order, and keep your order confirmation.

Delivery within South Africa is arranged through The Courier Guy. Delivery charges are calculated at checkout for your order and address. Please contact us before ordering to confirm timing for your chosen artwork or to discuss delivery outside South Africa.

Placing and managing an order

You can change quantities or remove items in your cart before checkout. Supply accurate contact and order details so we can communicate with you. Contact us promptly if you notice an error after submitting an order. An automated confirmation records receipt of your order; availability and any outstanding delivery arrangements will be confirmed with you.

You may check out as a guest or create an account. Keep your account access secure and tell us if you suspect unauthorised use. Order and account information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Commissioned artwork

A commission enquiry is an invitation to discuss your idea and does not commit you to a purchase. Before work starts, the subject, medium, approximate dimensions, price, payment arrangements, timing and any agreed stages or changes will be confirmed in writing. Any later change to the scope or price also needs agreement.

Custom-made or clearly personalised artwork can be subject to different change-of-mind cancellation rights from standard catalogue purchases. Any applicable commission cancellation terms will be explained before you commit. Your statutory rights concerning defective or misdescribed work remain protected.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

Please read our Returns and Refunds Policy for the process and applicable consumer rights. Contact us with your order number to request a cancellation, report damage or arrange a return. Do not send artwork to an unconfirmed address.

Copyright and permitted use

Copyright in artwork, photographs and website content remains with its owner. Buying an artwork transfers ownership of the physical piece, not reproduction, publishing or commercial licensing rights, unless separately agreed in writing. Please contact Karla if you would like permission to reproduce an image.

Use the website lawfully and do not attempt to interfere with its operation, access another person’s account or misuse its content.

Questions and disputes

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. South African law applies, including the Consumer Protection Act and Electronic Communications and Transactions Act where applicable. These terms do not exclude mandatory consumer rights, impose a waiver of legal remedies or prevent you from approaching an appropriate regulator, ombud or court.

We may update these website terms. The date above identifies this version; updates do not retrospectively change an agreed order.
