About the Artwork
A front-facing composition places the aardvark’s expressive features at the centre of this intimate study. Fine graphite lines describe delicate creases and sparse hair, while deeper charcoal shadows give weight to the body. The grey paper provides a soft middle tone, allowing the drawing to move gently between light and shade.
Hand-drawn in graphite and charcoal on grey 250gsm cotton art paper. Artwork: 148 × 210 mm. Mounted size: A4 (210 × 297 mm).
Meet the subject
Meet Nkosinathi, Zululand’s quietly determined night explorer. While most of Zululand is settling down, Nkosinathi is getting started, nose close to the ground and his evening entirely organised around finding something delicious to dig up. He likes his own company, takes the scenic route and always arrives with a little soil on his nose.
Each piece is handmade in Zululand, so slight variations in colour, size and finish are part of its unique character. Small imperfections reflect the care and human touch behind every creation. Turnaround times will be discussed when you place your order. Your piece will be thoughtfully packaged with care and shipped straight to your door.
